Cosmetics and the Brazilian middle class.

Brazilians spend more money in cosmetics, perfumes and personal care than every country in the world. The Brazilian woman does!

The explanation has to do with the C class growing, also more women working outside the home. These only can mean one thing: more income. But also the higher average age of the population makes diference here.

When you see easily this new reality? Summer. Because is the best time to notice more women going to salons, spas, and malls to buy fresh colors in products. This is why Brazilians are the 3rd in the beauty market in the world. US is number one, and Japan is the second. But they aren't growing fast as Brazil, neither they have a warm weather most of the year.

Who are the big players in this spectacle? Avon e Natura. They still have the biggest door to door sales in Brazil. But this reality is changing...
