As a
Brazilian it's fascinating how the American companies evolve their products.
Mainly talking about the little colorful button called M&M.
A similar
product was seen by an American in the Spanish Civil War, in the 30's.
The chocolate candy was distributed for the soldiers because it was energetic. Also the chocolate melted only in their mouths, not in their hands.
He decided to bought the patent, got a partner and because of this we today have the M&M, Mars & Murrie.
During the World War II they sold exclusively to the US Army. It
was more than enough to make them decide for a bigger facility.
Last year, during the Super Bowl, we could see the six 3D
animation based on the "spokecandies". They were made in 1995 by the first
time, and they used to be in six colors, names, and personas.
I'm looking for the video were they introduced Mr. Brown just
because that was the funniest video forever.
Forgetting the historical part, the delicious candies have
exclusives stores, one is in New York. This is what I'm talking about in
the beginning. Only in the US you'll see a product starting from a little thing and evolve to a huge store in Manhattan with everything you can think.
Including a section where you can customize your candy,
called my M&M. You can choose between colors, draws, names, and phrases to
print on it. In the end of the machine, you will be able to get a special package exactly you've asked for.
