The Minus 5 Experience, a freezer in NYC

Minus 5 Experience

We went to a Minus 5 laughing about how long we could stay inside a freezer... no, apologize me, a bar in Manhattan.

You may know that summer in NY City can be like an oven baking the Thanksgiving turkey, the temperature goes to 100 easily. If you're using the subway you should be prepared for 120, the hell is there. Lots of water is the basic recommendation for tourists.

The special recommendation includes going to midtown and stay in a freezer. Exactly, this bar was created in New Zeland to reproduce an igloo. The inside temperature is minus 5 degrees Celsius or 23 degrees Fahrenheit.

At the entrance you receive (after paying of course my horse) insulated jackets and gloves. After this point, everything is made of ice, even chairs, couch, statues, and cups. Many pieces of blocs from Canada made you feel like an Eskimo. They also have deer skin for avoiding you sliding of the couch.

The so called Minus 5 Experience is exactly what it says and we had lots of fun for 2 hours. This was for how long I could stay without feeling like a stone cold, even with the jacket and the glass of wine I drank inside.

"Dude, remember that time you got drunk in a freezer?"
"Because you may never drink vodka in a freezer again"
