The Carolina Honey Bee Company |
In what universe a lucid person will prefer an expensive product if she can buy a more affordable? In the galaxy where the real product maybe (almost sure) was modified to generate more profit.
You may not be aware the bottle of honey you are buying has corn instead. I believe is easy to choose if you don't have a bunch of money, or if you don't care very much for what you have eaten. But it makes all the difference if you are allergic to something that was added in the pot. Here I'm talking about honey, the pure gold extract, and the most rising allergy in the US, the corn allergy.
What happens with the cost reduction all those companies making every day, 24x7? I know there is a limit. You can reduce some, but not a lot if you wanna keep the same (or similar) quality. Unless it was overpricing and that would be avusive. Then I recommend this type of producer to pounder, because this added product (corn) can give an allergic reaction in your customer. It's a real poison for them. This is not any more an innocent way to make a few more pennies.
You may wonder about the billions of containers that are swimming from China this right now. It costs ten times less, for sure, and I don't have a good answer for you. I have no answer, but as far as I know, in this case the situation is a quite bit different. During the winter the bees truly don't have flowers to produce their juice. Also because the American bees are dying. Pesticides are only one of the reasons. So, many farmers do mix honey with corn syrup and sell as a pure rich honey.
I don't have problem if they wanna sell fake honey during the cold season, but let us know what's going on. Not only because we deserve, but because we need to know and we don't want to have a reaction to find the truth.
Last time at the local producer I was told they don't have any corn added. Wow, I was very good surprised! Do you know what it means? Of course I'll always pay more for their honey.
